Jacqui has worked on a number of TV shows including GMTV, Daybreak & Lorraine, This Morning, E4′s Wife Swap the Aftermath, Hollywood Gossip, Bet Honours Awards, Alan Titchmarsh show, Michael Ball show, BIG Strong Boys for BBC and Nightlife for ITV.
She also presented and was Associate Producer for the 15 part interior/makeover series for Discovery Home called Room 2 B You. As well as producing and presenting BET Style for Viacom’s US Channel BET, more recently Jacqui Co-produced and presented 8 part ‘how-to’ guides for UKTV’S LoveHome.

How did you start out in your career?
I studied fashion, design and pattern cutting. Then I worked in the industry around Oxford Circus, and finally I created my own label. It all comes down to my love of fabric and texture. Fashion and interiors go hand in hand. And in between I modelled for about nine years. I really enjoyed that crazy world.
What are your influences?
I keep one eye on fashion because I know it trickles into interiors. But I always like to have classic designs as well and to incorporate colours. I also love working with artists, to see if the designs can transfer well into homeware. You need to ask yourself if it would it look great as a rug or wallpaper or a cushion.
What’s your style?
My own personal style is a little bit quirky and a classic twist. I love mixing and matching patterns. Jacqui Joseph designs have colours, texture and a vibrancy of design.
Next big trend for 2014?
Pantone think this year is about a radiant orchid colour. I love it – the purple, fuscia colour. It works so well with other colours. Muted tones can be added to that rich, vibrancy. It livens up other colours like beige and taupe. In the autumn, there will be deeper colours. Also, watch out for powdery, pastel colours – but always with a zesty punch.
What’s your take on the property market right now?
It’s a tough market out there, it’s a buyer’s market. People want more bang for their buck. If you’re thinking of selling, clear up lots of clutter, make everything nice and airy. Some people are not very good at visualising space and to see how their belongings would fit in, so you really need to keep everything free of your personal stuff.
What do you like about living in Queen’s Park, London?
It’s changed so much. I moved to Queen’s Park about 15 years ago. In that time, the area has changed phenomenally. It has become a media place. It’s got Hampstead and Swiss Cottage on one side as well as Notting Hill on the other. It’s like a little village now. The prices have shot through the roof. It is an incredibly popular with media people, such as writer Zadie Smith and actor Thandie Newton who live here. it’s also great place for families because of the villagey vibe and the park. The next area to watch is Willesden Green. I was born there and that part of London is spiking, and certainly getting more popular in the last three years. They’ve got it all there.
