Vintage Sanderson Kandahar Cushion
Limited Edition – Only 10 made.
Original 1968/9 high quality cotton fabric, by one of the oldest British brand in it’s field – Sanderson.
This vintage cushion entitled Kandahar was printed by Sanderson. ‘Kandahar’ was originally adapted in 1967 from an Indienne block printed chinz pattern (c.1860) by the Sanderson design studio at their Perivale wallpaper factory. Sanderson then launched ‘Kandahar’ as a matching surface printed wallpaper and a screen printed cotton fabric as part of their 1968/9 Third Triad Collection.
This Limited Edition cushion from the Jacqui Joseph Designs Handmade collection is a stunning delight for the eyes. The standout quality of the fabrics with imaginative floral aspects and shapes coupled with the unmistakable colour tones that only Sandersons could achieve is exquisitely breathtaking.
