Decorative Silver beads are normally reserved for adorning christmas trees or perhaps sparkle to wedding decor.
But there is another use for them and it’s brilliantly cost effective. Yes, you’ve guessed it upcycling a lampshade! The result looks stunning and it’s super easy to do……In 3 easy steps
What you’ll need:
Lampshade
Strong adhesive – I prefer to use a Glue gun as it dries quickly and bonds really strong.
String beads – any colour you desire. (I opted for silver)
1. Protect your surface with either a glass mat or an opened cardboard box will do.
2. Start on the inside of your lampshade, add a blob of glue and attach the start of the garland.
3. Work your way up and over the lampshade adding a blob of glue here and there to secure the garland…And it’s done!!
TIPS
This would look great with red bead garlands!
If you want to save on the amount you use and you don’t want to wrap the garland al the way round your lampshade, just cut them!
You can also try attaching your garlands in the same way, but go round your lampshade for a different look!
